The 4th Annual Hammond River Brewing Homebrew Competition is intended to encourage creativity in home brewing and support the local home brewing community in the Maritimes. The competition is BJCP certified and participant’s beer will be judged according to the 2015 BJCP guidelines. This year’s competition will be a little different than in the past. Rather than limiting home brewers to a select couple of styles like previously, this year I am opening the Competition up to ANY European style. So if you want to brew a Belgian Blonde, Irish Stout, Biere De Garde, Weissbier, Czech Pilsner, English Bitter, etc, it’s all fair game this year. It just has to be a European style is all. Participants can brew up to three styles and the competition is open to all home brewers in the Maritimes.
Entries must consist of two 500ml bottles with no identifiable features or marks. Labels must be filled out and attached to each bottle with an elastic band. When shipping entries ensure that the each bottle is wrapped individually and packed appropriately. The completed entry forms must be included in the box with the entries in a plastic bag. Brewers are limited to 3 entries each and the Registration fee is $10 per entry.
Entries must be received by: February 2nd.
Judging will take place on: February 4th.
*Cheques can be made out to Hammond River Brewing.
